Dear…

Let’s face it, we all have things that we want to talk about but are afraid what people might think. It is true what is said about sharing and ‘getting things off your chest’. There is nothing better than being able to speak truthfully, from the heart. When you keep things bottled up it increases stress levels leading to all kinds of unhealthy manifestations. Dear Chamari

“Is there more to life than this?”

I have been a call-centre manager for 15 years and am so bored. I hate having to monitor my staff so rigidly and yearn for more flexibility and freedom, but I have no idea what I could do. I look at job vacancies, but anything I could apply for is managerial and I’ve had enough of that to last me a lifetime. When I was younger I dreamt of being a doctor, but I wasn’t even that good at sciences at school! I’m 45, work full-time and have two teenagers. Dear Chamari

“Apparently, I’m in the prime of my life, but I don’t feel like it”

On paper, life is good – I’m 25, living in a flat-share and work as a secondary school teacher. The reality is less than rosy. I’m so lonely and feeling a bit low. I don’t get along with my housemates, at work everyone’s so stressed that we all avoid each other in the staffroom and it doesn’t help that I’m single too. I’m not sure if teaching is for me, I’m swamped with paperwork and barely have any free time to meet someone. I find it very hard to get out of bed in the mornings and even the prospect of weekends doesn’t excite me as it just means wading through marking. Help!
